Unit Description
6 South is a 36 bed Medical-Surgical unit providing clinical care to a primarily adult and geriatric population. Clinical services provided span the continuum of care for acute clinical interventions encompassing a broad Medical - Surgical clinical practice.
Clients may expect to receive professional services from:
- Nursing
- Physical Therapy
- Respiratory Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Nutrition Counseling
- Social Work
Case Management
- and other services as required.
Scope of Practice
Over fifteen clinical services admit their patients to our unit. These include 3 General Surgery teams, Trauma, Burn, Renal Transplantation, ENT, Vascular, Urology, Plastics, Dermatology, Radiation Oncology, 2 General Medicine teams & Pulmonary Medicine.
