Dr. Bernstein's clinical interests include inherited retinal degenerations, age-related macular degeneration, and the surgical treatment of retinal detachments. His research is focused on the biochemical basis of degenerative diseases of the retina and macula and the study of possible nutritional interventions against these disorders.
