DR. BERNSTEIN GIVES INTERNET BASED LECTURES
Salt Lake City, Utah
September 27, 2007

On Thursday, September 20, 2007, the Bloomberg Library conference room on the fifth floor of the Moran Eye Center was transformed into a virtual lecture hall. Dr. Paul Bernstein presented the first ever Moran sponsored live lecture via the Internet entitled "Phytochemicals and Ocular Disease". It was an interactive event involving Dr. Bernstein and a group of students at Texas A & M University and seven other sites around the country including Ohio State and Colorado State Universities. "It was an excellent experience," Dr. Bernstein said. "I could take questions and hear and see everyone at all the sites very clearly."
Randal Miller, Moran's resident audio-video guru, expert, maharishi and sage, ran the technical side of the event. There were only a few minor technical problems, and they were not on the Moran site. When you consider all the air fares, jet fuel, hotel bills, rental cars, gas, and the professional time this technology saves, cyber lectures are definitely the wave of the future. Congratulations Dr. Bernstein and Randy.
