The Moran Eye Center at the Greenwood Health Center provides the best in doctors, optometry exams, glasses and contact prescriptions. You also have the option of receiving consultations about LASIK vision correction and alternatives, as well as virtually any ophthalmology specialty service available.
The Greenwood Health Center offers a range of services including Optometry, contact lens services, vision correction alternatives and the latest styles in eye wear.
Optometrists/Optometry Services
Our dedicated staff consists of Dr. Craig Smith (optometrist), Dr. Bryan Vincent (optometrist), Pat Coon (lead optician), Glenna Lorange (optician) and JoAnn (receptionist). Both Pat and Glenna have 36 years of experience in the field of optometry. Read more about Dr. Craig Smith below.
Craig M. Smith, O.D.
Craig
Smith is the Director of Vision Services at the John A. Moran Eye Center’s Community Clinics and a Doctor of Optometry at the Greenwood Medical Center, where he has worked for more than 25 years. His professional interests include children's vision, sports vision, contact lenses and general optometry. Dr. Smith attended BYU and the Southern California College of Optometry, where he received his degree in 1977. In his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys racquetball, fly fishing and other outdoor activities. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, six daughters, and a growing number of grandchildren. Dr. Smith speaks Portuguese.
Bryan Vincent, O.D.
Dr. Vincent specializes in contact lenses and ocular pathology. He also assists ophthalmologists at the Moran Eye Center in cataract and glaucoma management. Dr. Vincent attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah, and received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He has participated in several humanitarian vision care missions to West Africa and Mexico and has developed a program to provide low-cost eye care to low-income families in the Salt Lake area. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, karate, hiking and motorcycles.
Dr. Vincent sees patients on Wednesdays at the Greenwood Health Center.
Contact Lens Services
At the Moran Eye Center at Greenwood Health Center, we provide expert contact lens fittings and exams and offer the most current and comfortable contact lenses on the market. We have soft disposable lenses, soft disposable toric lenses (lenses that correct astigmatism), rigid gas permeable lenses, bifocal contacts and monovision lenses for our patients where both nearsightedness and farsightedness need correction. We also offer prescription colored contact lenses and colored contacts for those who simply want to change their eye color.
If you are a new contact lens wearer, our staff of experienced doctors, technicians and opticians will teach you how to insert, remove and care for your contact lenses to make your transition to contacts easy and prevent any harm from occurring to your eyes.
We are the regional experts in finding innovative solutions to our hard-to-fit patients. This includes patients who have very high prescriptions, dry eye, are continuous computer users, have chronic allergies, sensitive eyes and those who previously failed to adapt to contact lenses.

Lenses: At the Greenwood Health Center, we know from experience that eyewear is more than fashion. Your glasses must remain comfortable and stand up to daily wear – sometimes on the ski slope. Our certified opticians are experts in frames, lenses, lens repairs and fit as well as lens construction and tinting for those with special sensitivities to light.
Sunglasses: Our extensive line of sunglasses include: Smith©, Maui Jim©, and Jessica McClintock. These brands cater to active outdoor activities such as skiing, golfing, biking and running. To serve our winter sports patients, we offer many brands of ski goggles and optical inserts. We also have a large selection of fashion sun wear.

Vision Correction Alternatives
If you are looking to get rid of your glasses for good, we are happy to talk with you about your vision correction options and suggest that you take advantage of the free educational forums (link) held in the evenings at Moran clinics several times each month. These clinics will help you better understand your options and determine if you are a candidate for LASIK surgery. Our forums last approximately one hour and are presented by one of our world-class ophthalmic surgeons.
The refractive ophthalmologists at the Moran Eye Center have some of the highest successful vision correction outcomes in the Western United States. The Moran Eye Center is a regional referral center for complications after LASIK, and for complex procedures where the patient has special needs.
