The Moran Eye Center at the South Jordan Health Center provides the best in doctors, optometry exams, glasses and contact prescriptions. You also have the option of receiving consultations about LASIK vision correction and alternatives, as well as virtually any ophthalmology specialty service available.
Meet Our Doctors
Clair R. Palmer, O.D.
Clair R. Palmer received his B.S. degree from Brigham Young University, and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton California. His professional interests include general optometry with a special interest in contact lenses. He belongs to both the Utah and American Optometric associations. During his 20 years as the optometrist for the Utah Air National Guard, Dr. Palmer has practiced optometry in England, Korea, Japan, Germany, Virginia, Delaware, South Dakota and California. He has also been on humanitarian missions to Minsk, Belarus and Morocco. In his time away from the clinic, Dr. Palmer enjoys traveling, woodworking, reading, good jazz, and spending time with his ever-expanding family.
Robert Corry, O.D.
Robert Corry is a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Corry received his Bachelors of Science and Optometry Doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton California. He also received a Bachelors of Science from Brigham Young University. Dr Corry's professional interests include vision pathology, pediatrics optometry and contact lenses. Dr. Corry belongs to both the American and Utah Chapters of the Optometric Association and Boy Scouts of America. In his spare time, Dr. Corry enjoys hiking, fishing, music and sports.
Contact Lens Services
At the Moran Eye Center at South Jordan Health Center, we provide expert contact lens fittings and exams and offer the most current and comfortable contact lenses on the market. We have soft disposable lenses, soft disposable toric lenses (lenses that correct astigmatism), rigid gas permeable lenses, bifocal contacts and monovision lenses for our patients where both nearsightedness and farsightedness need correction. We also offer prescription colored contact lenses and colored contacts for those who want to change their eye color.
If you are a new contact lens wearer, our staff of experienced doctors, technicians and opticians will teach you how to insert, remove and care for your contact lenses to make your transition to contacts easy and help prevent any harm to your eyes.
We are the regional experts in finding innovative solutions for hard-to-fit patients. This includes patients who have very high corrections, dry eye, sensitive eyes, chronic allergies, are continuous computer users or who have previously failed to adapt to contact lenses.
