Dedicated to the Prevention of Chemical Addiction and the Improvement of Patient Care through Research, Education and Clinical Training
The center employs state-of-the art research to:
advance the knowledge of chemical addiction diseases and their genotypic and phenotypic bases,
educate the health care and general community about associated risks, and
apply scientific discoveries to improve treatment and prevention of addiction.
The Addiction Research and Education Center has a new name! Utah Addiction Center. We are still part of the University Health Sciences Center but serve all of Utah and the Intermountain West.
