University Health Care Burn Center Camp Programs

Severe burn injury is everyone worst nightmare. Unfortunately, for patients at the University Health Care Burn Center, this is a reality. The center admits an average of 400 patients annually, and half of those are children.

The University Health Care Burn Center receives patients with severe thermal and chemical injuries from a five-state referral area. The staff at the Burn Center provides a full range of services including intensive care, burn surgery, burn therapy, and outpatient treatment. Still, burn survivors need more than just medical care, they also require support in dealing with their permanent disfigurement and scaring, especially adolescents.

Because of our patient need for social and emotional healing, the staff at the University Health Care Burn Center wanted to help burn survivors beyond their daily medical care. We offer three prgrams from which to choose.
