Welcome to our third annual Burn Camp Dinner & Auction - Growing Our Community.

Looking back when Burn Camp began 17 years ago, we never could have imagined the successes we would have in the years to come. Our goal for each year was to provide a “safe haven” camp for patients, giving them peer support, self-esteem, and encouragement to grow from burn victims into burn survivors. We began growing our community without knowing what was coming. We taught each camper to the best of our abilities, providing guidance, shoulders for crying, ears for listening, and even the occasional dowsing with a bucket of water just because it was fun.
Many years later, we began to see something in our campers that we had always hoped for...growth. Growth as people, growth as young burn survivors, growth as teachers of surviving a tragic accident. We watched as many campers reached out to help other campers, showing them how to gain the self-esteem that pushes each of them gently forward towards the acceptance of being a burn survivor.
Burn Camp, quite simply, equals growth. We have been able to support over 300 burn survivors to date, each of them reac`qhing out for help, each giving back as they grow through our community. A community of TRUST, LOVE, and ACCEPTANCE for who they each are as people. Burn Camp is the unequaled opportunity to share experiences, develop friendships, and gain confidence to succeed in a world that is not always welcoming.
