A multi-disciplinary research agenda focused on women's health issues
The Center of Excellence in Women's Health Research section has a
commitment to stimulating, developing, and supporting the multidisciplinary
investigation of women's unique health needs across the life span. We are currently
working on cataloguing research on women's health topics across the University campus.Once this is done,
information about these research projects will be accessible via
this website. Periodically we will highlight studies that are actively recruiting participants.
The Center of Excellence in Women's Health recommends use of the following Research resources:
- Utah Health Research Network.
- Quick Health Data Online, provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health, includes comprehensive data,for both women and men, from 1998-2004 on a variety of health related topics. You can create tables, graphs, and maps from the data.
- Health Data for All Ages (HDAA) .
- Coordinating center for projects in women's health.
- Society for Women's Health Research.
- Grant Writing.
- Research Administration Training Series (RATS) offered by the Office of the Vice-President for Research has several continuing education and training opportunities designed to support, develop and maintain a standardized body of knowledge and best practice methodology for all research personnel at the University of Utah.

The University's Research Administration Training Series is offering four Investigator Workshops to all University faculty members. The program is designed to support both new and experienced investigators with the administration of their research. The workshops are led by A. Munger, Professor, Pharmacotherapy; Brent K. Brown, Esq., Director, Office of Sponsored Projects; and senior administrators from several areas across campus.
