The seven domains of health listed under each category are defined as follows:
- Physical Health: The health of a woman's body and diseases that can affect health.
- Social Health: The health of a woman's social setting (family, community).
- Psychological and Mental and Emotional Health: The mental and emotional health of a woman is crucial to the overall health.
- Intellectual health: Intellectual health relates to how stimulated a woman is intellectually.
- Environmental health: The state of the environment that we live in (water, air, etc)
- Occupational/economic health: How employment affects health; does the woman and her family have resources for living.
- Spiritual health: This category does not refer to any particular religious denomination. However, we recognize that a woman's relationship with nature, God, and the universe is also important.
