Frequently Asked Questions Will you accept my dental insurance? Probably. The University of Utah HSC Dental Clinic accepts most dental insurance, although coverage may vary. Please check with your insurance company for coverage information. Will students work on my teeth at low cost or no cost to me? We don't have a dental school at the University of Utah and the dental residents working in the clinic have dental degrees and could be in the community practicing. They are electing to work in the hospital dental clinic for one year. Therefore the fees are comparable to those in the community or perhaps a little less. I lost my job but I need my teeth fixed. Do you know someone who can help me? The Utah Health Access Project has health resources available for low-income Utah residents available on a hotline. Just call 211 on your telephone and ask for Dental Referral Services. Can I participate in a Wisdom Teeth Study and get my teeth pulled for free or even be paid for having them pulled? No. The University of Utah Dental Clinics don’t offer any study or programs that pay people to have their wisdom teeth pulled. If you have further questions, please contact Judy, Lindsay or Stephanie in the Dental Clinic at 801-581-2220.
