Regional Dental Education Program (RDEP) "At Large"
Entering 2012

The "At Large" Regional Dental Education Program is available for 10 Utah students accepted at any ADA accredited dental school. The program is designed for students who are not participating in the 10 RDEP Creighton student positions traditionally available at the University of Utah. Under the "At Large" Program, 10 selected students will attend the school of their choice through the AADSAS application and selection process and pay the applicable tuition for each of the dental school years. Upon dental school graduation, completion of a dental graduate program or military scholarship obligation, and upon returning to the State of Utah to practice dentistry fulltime, we will provide the dental graduate with an annual reimbursement amount of $20,000.00 for each year of dental school that eligibility was maintained. The intent is to help reduce the student's out-of-state tuition/education costs.

To be eligible for the "At Large" program you must be a resident of the State of Utah (for 5 years before you apply), hold an acceptance to an ADA accredited dental school and submit a separate application (refer to the eligibility and selection criteria). Applications must be post-marked no later than April 15, 2012. Notification of selection for participation in the program will be sent by June 1, 2012.
