Research Interests
Research interests include the function of the eosinophil in disease and the development of novel treatments for allergic diseases and asthma. My approach to treating atopic disease has been to study the development of eosinophil precursors in the bone marrow in the hope of finding new target molecules for novel drugs. I have discovered a novel RNA gene involved in eosinophil development, named EGO. In addition, I am interested in developing T cell epitope vaccines against allergic diseases and the treatment of Hypereosinophilic syndrome.
