-Assisting physicians and health care providers in timely completion of medical records
-Providing for the confidentiality, permanent storage, availability, retrieval, and authorized access of medical records
-Insuring that the medical record meets Hospital, State, JCAHO, and other regulatory compliance standards for timely completion, accuracy, confidentiality, and availability
-Providing accurate and timely filing of all documents (loose sheets) into the medical record
-Providing timely, accurate coding/abstracting of medical records for reimbursement and research
