IT Core Steering Committee

The Information Technology Core Steering Committee is focused on supporting the Research and Education missions of the Health Sciences Center. Chaired by Dr. Pierre Pincetl, Assistant Vice President and CIO, this committee is responsible for the formulation and execution of IT strategic goals, specifically the Research and Academic IT Strategic Plans. Other charges of the committee include:

  1. Establish a long range strategic plan with appropriate goals, tactics, and financial plan for the public and internal websites (internet/intranet) in support of HSC goals and priorities.
  2. Establish a mechanism for building consensus across HSC for ITS initiatives.
  3. Manage expectations across multiple and diverse user groups.
  4. Establish and balance priorities and budget within the scope of HSC resource planning.
  5. Develop an appropriate business model that supports the ITS initiatives in conjuction with the HSC goals.
