How to Avoid Viruses and Worms

The computer world seems to be filled with viruses and other baddies, just waiting to infect your machine. If you reliably do the following six things tho, chances are you will not have any problems with them.

• NEVER, ever open email attachments that you are not expecting, even from people you know.



• Insure you have virus protection software on your work machine and insure it is current.



• Insure you have virus protection software on your home machine too. It's free for employees of UUHSC.



• Keep your computer software up to date by installing the proper security patches.



• Do everyone a favor, don't fall for Internet hoaxes and don't send them on to other people.
