ITS Metrics Report
The University of Utah Health Sciences Center
Over the past year, ITS has completed several large initiatives and hundreds of small to mid-sized systems and projects. These efforts illustrate ongoing investment in information technology to support the missions of the Health Sciences Center.
As investment in IT increases, it becomes more important to communicate the scope of our computing environment as well as the means by which we measure growth and performance. For this reason we have created the ITS Metrics Report, which will be updated every month.
What are metrics?
A standard of measurement used to quantify effort, and measure growth and performance. Why report metrics?
- Accountability for investment
- Communicate what customers want and need to understand
- Understanding of scope of work for ITS staff
- Foundation for Customer Relations
Within the report we have included:
- information in the scope of our customer base
- the type of work we do
- our top priorities
- the volume and type of calls received at the Computer Support Center
- growth indicators
- customer feedback
The full report contains links that will provide detailed information and descriptions, and the numbers-only version includes trending graphs over time.
