HSC ITS Project Managment Office

Information Technology Services at University Health Care created the Project Management Office as a resource for project managers and other interested staff. The primary objective is to provide project management outreach and mentoring services to ITS management from skilled Project Managers on visible and complex projects being run by IT Services. To strengthen project management methodologies already in place and introduce effective ways to improve project success.

  1. Examine policies and processes currently used and provide examples, templates and ideas.
  2. Increase project management skills/usage departmentally and individually through mentoring, educational programs, brown-bags, mini-training sessions, group discussions, study groups, web pages, and tool kits.
  3. Create and report metrics that benefit project management planning.

Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet the project requirements. The HSC ITS PMO is committed to following the PMI Global Standard methodology to complete these activities.
