Established to Serve Utah's Disabled Miners

The Miners Hospital and Clinic were established to provide health care to active and retired miners for a mining related illness or injury.

The following services are provided:

• Medical evaluation & treatment for mining related illness or injury.
• Case management
• Health education programs and materials
• Two University of Utah scholarships in specified areas for children or grandchildren of disabled coal, metal or non-metal miners.

Payment for medical services

If miner has health insurance his insurance will be billed first. The Miners Health Trust will cover the balance of the health service fees authorized by the Miners Hospital.

If miner has no health insurance, the Miners Hospital will cover expenses authorized by the Miners Hospital for a mining related illness or injury.
