Established to Serve Utah's Disabled Miners

The University of Utah has created two, four-year scholarships covering books and tuition for children/grandchildren of Disabled Miners. One scholarship will be offered in a field related to the health care of miners such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology, nursing, pre-medicine, or pre-pharmacy. The other scholarship is available for any of the other majors at the University of Utah. The scholarships are merit based. The scholarships will be funded from the Miners Trust Fund and will be provided for a period of ten years (2004 - 2014).
