How did you find out about this movie? | I saw it in its initial release. I’m not one to go out to movies much, but this one was so special. I rarely watch a movie more than once, but this is the exception. It has been re-released twice; the second release has extended footage (1980). |
Why is this movie special to you and why do you recommend it? | The characters pulled you right in. Also I loved Francois Truffaut; sadly, he passed away not too long after. |
Other interesting facts about the movie: | Spielberg originally planned to shoot only on a soundstage, but had to revise his plans. The key scene in the movie (to me anyway) was shot at Devil’s Tower in Wyoming. |
