| This
is a recessive dystrophy of the corneal stroma which is characterized by
cloudy opacities of the stroma which may coalesce and involve the entire
stroma leading to corneal clouding (#21949).
Histologically, the stroma is invaded by a mucopolysaccharide
material which is seen best on Alcian blue stain (#21952,#21951).
