Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Outpatient care for these conditions is provided by various clinics throughout the Salt Lake Valley. We provide comprehensive, non-operative management of musculoskeletal and spine disorders including:
- electromyography
- diagnostic and therapeutic injections of the spine
- appropriate use of therapeutic exercise and physical modalities
Patients who have sustained sports injuries can be evaluated by fellowship trained physicians who specialize in sports medicine.
A multidisciplinary approach is utilized in the management of many of our patients. The medical staff includes board certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and residents receiving training in this ACGME accredited program.
The inpatient unit is staffed by rehabilitation nurses and health care assistants. The patients work with specially trained physical, occupational, and speech therapists. In addition, the department has full-time psychologists and social workers to assist patients in coping with disabilities and facilitate reintroduction into the community and home environment.

- These regions are covered by the AirMed medevac system.
