Common Name:   Firethorn

Type:   Cultivated

Toxicity:   Possible skin and stomach irritant

Berries/Fruits:   Clusters of orange-red berries, develop color from late summer to mid autumn.

Flowers:   Flat clusters of dull creamy white flowers in spring.

Description:   Habit ranges from upright to sprawling. Glossy green oval shaped leaves. Has needle-like thorns. Planted as shrubs or ground covers in full sun.
