OSHA #7410: Managing Excavation Hazards



In this course, students will learn about the role and responsibility of the employer to assign a competent person to the excavation site and prepare that person with the knowledge to perform the work properly.  At the conclusion of the course, the participant will understand the importance and duties of a competent person toward excavation work and will have the knowledge and skills that are required to perform those duties.

The target audience is the private sector construction employer, manager, employee or employee representative who, as part of a safety and health program, would be acting as and fulfilling the requirements of a competent person for excavation work.
