Hours of Operation

The Rocky Mountain Center is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except University holidays.

Office Space and Equipment

There are conference rooms and computers available for the use of RMCOEH students. The RMCOEH conference room is available for student use by scheduling it with Miriam Felton . Students are expected to keep their "spaces" tidy. There are telephones available for student use. The staff will take calls and messages for students for University business and emergencies. Mailboxes for RMCOEH students are located in the break room. Be sure to check your mailbox each time you are in the Center. Please empty it each time and do not use it for storage. All correspondence will be put in these boxes. There are computers available for student use in the library and laboratory. Student presentations should be computer generated. For class presentations try to use a computer software program such as PowerPoint to avoid using overhead transparencies. Please familiarize yourself with the "Smart Board" for using during presentations.

Copying

Any copying done at the Center must be done using an account number. Check with Miriam Felton to get a number and then you will be billed at the end of each month at $.07 per copy.

Labs

Anytime you need to take equipment from the lab you must check it out. Get permission from one of the IH faculty and then see Laboratory Attendant for the appropriate form. There is no eating, drinking or smoking allowed in the Rocky Mountain Center labs and no food is to be stored in the lab refrigerators.

Parking

Students are eligible for "U" and "E" parking permits and UTA/TRAX passes. These are available at Commuter Services, which is located at 1901 E. South Campus Dr . When you go to Commuter Services for your permit you will need to take your car registration and emissions documentation with you. You will want to become familiar with the UTA city bus system, TRAX light rail system, and University's Campus Shuttles. The black, yellow, and purple shuttles go by the Center. During the academic year, the black shuttle runs every 15 minutes, the yellow and purple shuttles run every 20 minutes.

Soda, Coffee and Kitchen Facilities

Soda-pop and juice are available in the refrigerator in room break room, and snacks are available in the cupboard. The prices are on the refrigerator and cupboard doors. Coffee and tea are available in the kitchen for $.25 per cup. Please bring your own mug/cup and you may leave it in the kitchen (washed and on the shelf). Everyone is expected to clean up after themselves.
