OM Residency Program

The Rocky Mountain Center’s OM residency program offers the MPH degree and a one-year practicum experience. Applicants to the program are usually admitted to one of two tracks

  1. Applicants may be admitted into the two year program that includes the MPH degree (PGY-2) after completing at least one clinical year of training in an ACGME-accredited residency program.  The MPH degree program is followed by the OM practicum year (PGY-3).
  2. Applicants already holding an MPH degree, or equivalent, may be admitted to the OM practicum year (PGY-3 only).

Medical students and residents from other programs are welcome to arrange rotations with RMCOEH faculty.  Visiting residents and students participate in our community and consultation clinics, resident educational activities, and often have the opportunity to assist with faculty research or projects.  Medical students from the University of Utah may take occupational and environmental medicine courses through the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine.
