UUHSC Secure E-Mail
Use "phi" to protect PHI
At UUHSC, secure email is more than a matter of HIPAA compliance, it is also a matter of trust.
Regular e-mail sent over the internet doesn't protect the privacy or confidentiality of our patients' health information. It is easy for others to intercept or read. UUHSC secure e-mail protects our patients' privacy by allowing work force members to securely send sensitive message via our regular e-mail system.
Follow these instructions on how to encrypt a message.
E-mail sent over the UUHSC's private networks is considered secure and it is permissible to include protected health information (PHI) in e-mail from one UUHSC email address to another UUHSC e-mail address.
