Thank you for your interest in the University of Utah School of Medicine.  From our home page you can access information that will be helpful as you investigate where you would like to pursue your medical education, basic science degree program or academic career.  It’s all here, from nuts-and-bolts information about the medical school admissions process, including tuition and fees, to descriptions of our nationally recognized clinical and research programs, to the abundant recreational and cultural opportunities available in Utah and its handsome, rapidly-growing capital, Salt Lake City.

As you browse this web site you’ll feel the pride we take in our leadership role in the Intermountain West and our mission to improve health and quality of life through excellence in education, research and patient care.

Our curriculum is solid and forward-looking, replicating the environment physicians will face in practice, and our physical plant is growing rapidly, with a substantial number of building projects either under way or on the drawing board.  In my view, however, it is our people who are our greatest asset:  our 800 dedicated faculty members, many of whom are internationally known, our medical students, graduate students and residents, who come from widely varying backgrounds and have impeccable academic credentials, and our competent and hard-working support staff.
