The Stroke Center emphasizes acute intervention and is engaged in clinical trials with the goal of optimizing outcomes for stroke patients. The "Brain Attack" Team is notified as soon as a stroke is suspected, often before the patient reaches the hospital. Advanced radiologic techniques such as CT angiography, diffusion and perfusion MR imaging, and cerebral angiography are available to aid in quick and accurate diagnosis.
Therapies include medical treatments, advanced neurosurgical techniques, and interventional neuroradiology procedures.
