Clinic 1B, Pre-Surgery Clinic

The clinic is staffed with RN's and anesthesiologists to perform pre-operative anesthesia evaluations.

Location

The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic is located adjacent to the hospital lobby on the first floor of the Health Sciences Center.

Appointments

Appointments are recommended and should be made at the time you and your surgeon decide that a surgical procedure is necessary. The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Scope of Practice

• To perform a complete pre-anesthetic evaluation of the surgical candidate up to 30 days prior to their scheduled procedure date.
• The evaluation will include a review of patient's medical history, a nursing assessment and an evaluation with an anesthesiologist.
• During the visit, lab tests and other diagnostic studies may be ordered and carried out based on the patient history and risk assessment.
