Who We Are Parent to Parent is a non-profit volunteer organization that was founded in March 1975 at the University of Utah's Newborn Intensive Care Unit by staff and parents who had previously had critically ill newborns in the facility. We were one of the first Newborn ICU parent programs in the United States. Parent to Parent relies on help and support of our parent volunteers to remain strong. We welcome new referrals, new volunteers and donations. Contact the Support Specialist for more information. Parent to Parent volunteers have been through many of the same crises associated with high risk/bed rest pregnancies and/or having a critically ill son or daughter requiring hospitalization in a NICU. We have all felt what you are feeling. We all know the emotional roller coaster, whether you are scared, depressed, numb, sad - we want you to know it is all normal and natural, given what you are going through, and you are not alone. We are here to listen and help in any way we can. |
